The computer was working fine graphics was working fine for a few hours. This made me install an older version of the AMD drivers after using DDS driver (from guru3d) uninstaller utility in safe mode. Tried to re install again they wouldn't take would only give the Error message.
I booted to safe mode go in that way used AMD utility to uninstall AMD drivers. I then booted to safe mode was able to get deleted the device driver via device manager and I could get back into windows using the VGA basic adapter ( there is not display on the MB) upon trying to install the drivers again once windows was operating fine, the error produced again this time I reinstalled windows.Īfter re installing windows, I installed the display drivers it said successfully installed then on restart I couldn't access windows. After that I could not get back into windows. To which after that the computer was idling and crashed giving the Thread stuck in device driver error. GPU: HIS Iceq Radeon HD 7870 (fresh replacement)įor some reason the drivers new 15.12 drivers where stabile for about 5 days. The gpu has been RMAed and replaced within the last 3 months and has not been used till I was doing this. Let me start out with this is and Out of the box Hard drive, the only windows on it was windows 8.1 which right after completion was upgraded to windows 10.
